Eligibility

Membership Guidelines

You can join LAPFCU if you're part of an eligible group (see below). You can also join if you're an immediate family member of a current member.
 

• Federal, state, county, and municipal law enforcement agency employees who work in these counties:
   
  • Imperial
  • Kern
  • Los Angeles
  • Orange
  • Riverside
  • San Bernardino
  • San Diego
  • San Luis Obispo
  • Santa Barbara
  • Ventura County
• Cadets and Explorers
  • If under 18 years old, must present a birth certificate, Social Security card, or school ID.
  • If under 18 years old and requesting a checking account or ATM/debit card, an adult co-signer is required.
• Board members, unpaid officials, and volunteers of nonprofit organizations that support law enforcement agencies in the listed counties.
• LAPFCU employees and their family¹ or household² members; retirees, pensioners or annuitants; spouses of people who died while within our field of membership;corporate/legal entities in this charter; volunteers; and related organizations.

Once you become a member, your immediate family members are eligible to join.

LAPFCU is a full service financial services provider for sworn and civilian law enforcement professionals of federal, state, county, and city agencies and their family members in Southern California.
