All members are invited to attend the 2015 Annual Meeting of Members which will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Van Nuys office of the Credit Union.
IMPORTANT ELECTION INFORMATION
The following members have been nominated by the nominating committee to fill expired-term or other vacancies on the LAPFCU Board:
- Warren D. Spayth, who had a 30-year career with the LAPD, began his volunteer service with Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union in March 1977. Since that time, Mr. Spayth has served in a variety of positions on the Board of Directors, including terms as Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Treasurer, and as Chairperson of all major Board of Directors committees. Mr. Spayth graduated from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Finance School, has completed various home-study courses from CUNA, and attends conferences and seminars yearly to stay informed on trends, regulations and other issues affecting the credit union industry.
- Cliff Ruff is a retired Los Angeles Police Department Detective who presently serves on Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors. He has been an LAPFCU member for more than 40 years.
His Credit Union volunteer service began in 2007 when he was appointed as a Volunteer-at-Large. He became a member of the Board of Directors in 2010 and presently serves as Board Secretary. He is also on the Loan Advisory and Member & Industry Relations committees.
In his professional career, Mr. Ruff joined LAPD in 1965, was promoted to a sergeant in 1970, served as a detective from 1972 to 1990, and then served as a director for the Los Angeles Police Protective League from 1990 to his retirement in 2007.
- Sean Goulden joined Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union as a Volunteer-at-Large in 2007 and was appointed to his position as director in 2011. In addition to his role as director, he serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Committee and is also a member of the Bylaws and the Technology committees.
Mr. Goulden is owner of SKLA Advertising, a business-to-business marketing and advertising firm. He previously held positions with ABC Television, Universal Studios and various advertising agencies.
A graduate of Pepperdine University, Mr. Goulden also volunteered for 5 years as a president of his Homeowners Association. Mr. Goulden is the son of a Police Officer and has been a Credit Union member since the 1980s.
