Q. Why can't I find LAPFCU in the Quicken® list of institutions!
A. First, search for L.A. Police Federal Credit Union.
If you still do not see it, it is important that you get the latest Quicken program updates!
To get the latest directory of participating financial institutions and program updates click Update on your Quicken toolbar. In the dialog, click Update Now, Quicken will automatically check for available updates. When this download process is complete, exit and restart Quicken.
Q. When Quicken® connects and attempts to download my transactions, it tells me that my "password is invalid", but the same password works in PATROL. What's wrong?
A. Quicken requires your PATROL password must be a minimum of six numerical digits. If you need to change this, log on to PATROL, select MORE FEATURES and then CHANGE PASSWORD.
Q. Is Quicken® available for Windows and Macintosh?
A. Yes. The Quicken® 2005 and 2006 interfaces are now available for both Windows and MacIntosh.
Q. What do I need before setting up Quicken to connect to LAPFCU from my personal computer?
A. You will need Quicken® 2005 or 2006 (Requires: Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.5 with 128-bit encryption) installed on your personal computer, your LAPFCU PATROL Member Number and Member Password, and an Internet Service Provider.
After you have installed Quicken® on your PC, go to http://www.intuit.com/support/quicken/updates/ to download and install the most current Quicken® update.
Q. Who do I contact if I have problems with Quicken® Web Connect?
A. If you are having problems with any part of the Quicken® software, you will need to contact Intuit directly by clicking here. If you are having problems with the Web Connect download of your account history, please call the LAPFCU Communications Center at 877-MY-LAPFCU (877-695-2732) or use our secure submit form.
Q. I noticed you can pay bills through Quicken®. Is this the same as the bill pay service in PATROL?
A. No! Quicken® uses a national independent bill payment service (third party such as Transpoint or Check Free). The bill pay service in PATROL DOES NOT integrate with Quicken®. If you choose to use Quicken's bill payment service, please be aware of their independent associated charges. Additionally, any problems encountered with this service would need to be handled by Quicken's® bill payment service and not LAPFCU.
