Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union has been honored as one of the San Fernando Valley Business Journal’s "2009 Best Places to Work". LAPFCU received a third place honor among medium-size companies in a competition which recognized the Valley’s top 30 small, medium and large companies.
Additionally, the Credit Union was presented with one of four special awards. LAPFCU received the "Best Employee Recognition" Award from a field that included financial peers such as Wells Fargo and Ernst & Young LLP.
"These are great honors for us and we are very appreciative" explained LAPFCU President and CEO Mike Padgett. "We understand that happy employees make for happy members." This is the second "Best Places to Work" honor the organization has received in the past six months. In March, the Employer’s Group, the preeminent human resources expert and advocate serving California employers, presented LAPFCU with a second place honor in the category of medium-size companies.
The San Fernando Valley Business Journal honor is very gratifying, as 75% of the points awarded in the competition are tallied based upon employee survey responses.
