(Van Nuys, CA, Feb. 7, 2008) - In response to the shootings of Officer Randal Simmons and Officer James Veenstra, Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union (LAPFCU) has opened Donation Accounts to support the needs of their families. During a Feb. 7 SWAT incident, Simmons died and Veenstra was badly injured.
"We at the Credit Union express our sincere condolences to the family of Officer Simmons and our best wishes go out to Officer Veenstra and his family," stated G. Michael Padgett, LAPFCU President and CEO. "The funds collected for these donation accounts will go to address the needs of their families."
