(Van Nuys, CA, Aug. 8, 2007) - Edwin "Ed" Hada has been named Senior Vice President Finance & Administration/Chief Financial Officer, for Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union (LAPFCU). In his new position, Hada will be responsible for overseeing the Finance, Human Resources and Information Systems departments for the Credit Union.

Michael Padgett, LAPFCU President and CEO, who was appointed to his position in January 2007 after serving as LAPFCU's Chief Financial Officer. "Ed has built a distinguished career working within the field, and we look forward to his contributions in helping LAPFCU to further serve our members."

Hada comes to LAPFCU after more than seven years of work at WesCorp, a corporate credit union. For the past four years, he worked as Vice President of Financial Consulting Services where he oversaw WesCorp's consulting services to member credit unions for ALM and balance sheet management. He also served as WesCorp's Vice President of Investment Operations for three years.
Prior to WesCorp, Hada worked as Chief Financial Officer for 21 years at Wescom Credit Union, where he was responsible for all aspects of financial operations including asset/liability management, financial planning and analysis, investments, budgeting and cash management. He also served as director of planning and financial officer for two credit union service organizations and developed the first internal audit program for Wescom.
Hada earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Occidental College in Los Angeles. He also completed the Executive Leadership and Management Skills programs at Graziadio School of Business and Management, Pepperdine University. He is a past member of the CUNA (Credit Union National Association) CFO Council, and has been a speaker at numerous credit union industry groups and conferences.
