Q. Can I set up my direct deposit to come to LAPFCU now?

A. Yes, we can take your request whenever you are ready to do so. Simply call us at 877- MY-LAPFCU (877-695-2732) or visit a branch and speak to a Payroll Specialist and we will process the necessary forms for your signature.

 

Q. What is the effective date for elimination of payroll deductions?

A. It is important that LAPFCU receives your changes by November 2, 2011.

 

Q. Will I receive a confirmation?

A. Yes, you will receive a follow-up letter informing you that the change has taken place. Additionally you can check your accounts via PATROL online banking or Code 3 telephonic banking to verify transfers or contact us for assistance at 877-MY-LAPFCU (877-695-2732) or visit a branch.

 

Q. Will the auto payment discount I currently receive be eliminated if I decide to go to cash billing?

A. No, your lower rate will not change.

Members with Direct Deposit and Payroll Deduction

 

Q. Where will the money go for my payroll deduction that I have been transferring to LAPFCU?

A. We will process the changes for you. No action is necessary from you.

 

Q. What if I want to make changes to my existing allocations?

A. If you would like to make changes to your existing allocations, contact us for assistance at 877-MY-LAPFCU (877-695-2732) or visit a branch.

 

Q. If I currently have payroll deductions to pay my loans, will this continue?

A. Yes, as long as we continue to receive your direct deposit.

 

Q. If I presently have payroll deductions with direct deposit to LAPFCU and my payroll deductions are allocated to another parties’ account (children’s account/parent’s), how do I continue doing so?

A. We will set up transfers for you, just as you had them in the past. No action is needed by you.

 

Q. If I currently have bi-weekly loan payments, will this process continue?

A. Yes, as long as we receive your direct deposit.

Members with Payroll Deduction only

 

Q. I understand that LAPFCU will no longer be able to accept payroll deductions through the City. What are the ways in which I may have my payroll funds deposited into my LAPFCU account?

A. If only part of your paycheck is automatically deposited to LAPFCU, the credit union will need to update the process by which this is accomplished. Simply call us at 877-MY-LAPFCU (877-695-2732) or visit a branch and speak to a Payroll Specialist and we will process the necessary forms for your signature.

 

Q. If I presently have payroll deductions with no direct deposit to LAPFCU and my payroll deduction are allocated to another parties’ account (children’s account/parent’s), how do I continue doing so?

A. Simply call us at 877-MY-LAPFCU (877-695-2732) or visit a branch and speak to a Payroll Specialist and we will process the necessary forms for your signature.

 

Q. How can I automatically transfer money into my account at the LAPFCU from another Financial Institution?

A. Simply call us at 877-MY-LAPFCU (877-695-2732) or visit a branch and speak to a Payroll Specialist and we will process the necessary forms for your signature.

 

Q. If I currently have Payroll Deductions to pay my loans, what do I need to do?

A. Simply call us at 877-MY-LAPFCU (877-695-2732) or visit a branch and speak to a Payroll Specialist and we will process the necessary forms for your signature.

 

Q. What will happen to my payroll deductions that are designated for LAPFCU if I don’t update my preferences?

A. After November 2, your payroll deductions will be canceled and the funds will be included in your net paycheck. If you had loan payments which came out of payroll deducted funds, you will be responsible for ensuring that all LAPFCU loan payments are made on time.
