Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union would like to offer its condolences and extend its support to the family of Robert J. Cottle, an LAPD SWAT Officer and Sergeant Major with the United States Marine Corps Battalion who was killed in the line of duty while serving in Afghanistan. Officer Cottle is the first Los Angeles police officer to be killed in the Iraq/Afghanistan wars, and he leaves behind his parents, wife and a young daughter. At the request of Blue Ribbon Trust, the Credit Union has opened a donation account.
